Our Story

Coen & Nadia

Massarium purple sea anemone art installation

The founders were stranded in Portugal during lockdown in February 2021. Living in a beach cottage, they conceived a vision blending their interests in music-theatre, fashion, wellness, and personal development. That summer, they launched the project at Camp Common Grounds, a family glamping site in the Netherlands. The experience proved successful, particularly in reconnecting children with parents through their activities.

Our Vision

We develop experiences combining music-theatre, fashion, wellness, and personal development. Our philosophy centers on building a celebration culture rooted in nurture, love, and self-growth.

Immersive

Activating the audience by invitation increases the chance of people being touched by their experience.

Replenishing

Celebrating while simultaneously recharging one's system through wellness integration.

Awe

Creating memorable moments through beauty and wonder that opens audiences to new perspectives.

Transformational

Inviting participants to experience, learn, and grow collectively.

The Founders

Coen Aerts and Nadia Innocentia, founders of Massarium

Coen Aerts

“Playful interaction is something that is only mastered through praxis.”

Creator of multiple theatrical personas under Le Directeur Entertainment, Coen developed performance-art techniques exploring identity and audience transformation. He founded the ‘Iamsexuality’ platform in Amsterdam and organized Intimate Encounters gatherings. His focus is connecting people and creating transformative experiences.

Nadia Innocentia

“I believe in the autonomy and ‘pure’ self-awareness of the human kind.”

Through Studio Nadia Innocentia, she creates experience-oriented fashion and performance work that challenges conventional perspectives. She emphasizes costume uniqueness, audience engagement, and creating meaningful connections through performance.

“I’m satisfied with my project if I’ve achieved a connection with the audience through my total experience.”
